Middlesex County Divorce Records
Divorce records in Middlesex County are court records covering the legal process of ending a marriage in the county. Divorce cases in the county are handled by the Chancery Division (Family Part) of the Superior Court. Divorce records are generally deemed public records under NJ Court Rule 1:38-1. However, not every detail in a divorce record will be disclosed to the public. Some details are confidential and can only be accessed by authorized parties.
Divorce records finalized from 2016 to the present are maintained at the family courthouse. Individuals may visit the family courthouse to access such records. Records before 2016 may have been archived at the Superior Court Records Center. Researchers may call (609) 421-6100 to access the record. Individuals may also download and complete the New Jersey Records Request Form and submit it on the Judiciary Electronic Document Submission (JEDS) Portal.
